This guidance is issued to remind the campus clinical research community of the longstanding requirements to register and report results of clinical trials on the Federal database, It supplants campus guidance distributed in 2008.


Several changes to relevant federal regulations took effect in January 2017. They are:

New Federal F&A Rates

UCLA has a new Federal F&A Rate Agreement dated May 3, 2017. The new F&A rates are assigned by sponsored activity type and are effective for the UCLA Fiscal Year periods shown below. All rates are to be applied to the modified total direct cost (MTDC) base.
